Why Mount Moriah Stables Was Formed

We created Mount Moriah Stables to bring people and horses together for emotional, physical, and spiritual healing.  We believe that such healing can bring about the revelation of each person’s unique creation and divine purpose. With a life-long history of experience with horses, Debra Plant teaches the principles of centered riding, focusing on the subtleties of the horse/rider relationship.  Horses are a great gift to us and that somewhere in our journey to discover what the soul of the horse is, and what the spirit of the horse is, miracles can happen.

At Mount Moriah Stables, we create a safe and therapeutic environment for you to grow and heal. The relationship you will form with a horse is a crucial component to the healing process.  We have a strong team comprised of therapists, counselors and equine specialists.

All programs and services adhere to the national standards and ethics developed by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, International (PATH Intl), Equine Facilitated Learning and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy, in addition to those ethics developed by the Equine Assisted Growth And Learning Association (EAGALA).
